Summary of the Israeli Colonial Violations in the West Bank, November 2020
Maher Abed
This report briefly summarizes the Israeli occupation violations of human rights against the Palestinian lands and people during November 2020. The report relies on information from the daily reports of the Palestinian Monitoring Group of the PLO’s Negotiations Affairs Circle, Monitoring Israeli Colonization Activists in the Palestinian Territories (POICA), and We Watch Israeli Violations WEWIV. Likewise, we rely on live journalists’ coverage on the ground. We noted a surge in the Israeli settlers’ attacks on the Palestinian farmers picking the olives. We note that the settlement project focuses on bringing about radical changes in the reality of the city of Jerusalem and transforming its eastern neighbourhoods and the old city into Jewish identity. The occupation authorities approved a plan for the “Silicon Valley” project in the Wadi Al-Jouz area of Jerusalem, according to which 2,000 dunams of private lands will be seized and more than 200 industrial facilities for citizens will be destroyed. About 900 settlement hotel rooms will also be built. In addition, the occupation authorities in Jerusalem approved the construction of 108 new settlement housing units in “Ramat Shlomo” settlement and issued bids to build 1257 new settlement units in the “Givat Hamatos” settlement in Jerusalem. The details of these violations are as follows.
