The Palestinian Constitutional System: State, Organization and Authority
On August 11th, 14th, and 25th, the Vision Center for Political Development launched a training course entitled “The Palestinian Constitutional System: State, Organization and Authority – An Overview of the History, Interrelationships and Overlapping Powers.”
The course aimed to study Palestinian “Constitutional” documents and attempt to understand the Palestinian constitutional structure and the nature of the relationship between Palestinian institutions.
Dr. Saeed Abu Fara, Professor of International Law at the Arab American University, touched upon the features of the Palestinian constitutional system in a comparative manner between the past and present.
In addition, Dr. Ahmed Al-Ashqar, a lawyer and a former judge, tackled the topic of the Palestinian constitutional system and the relationship between constitutional documents and Palestinian institutions.
Dr. Ihsan Adel, concluded the session by sharing his thoughts on the Palestinian constitutional system and the relationship between constitutional documents and Palestinian institutions. Dr. adel also presented what he referred to as “practical proposals for reforming Palestinian constitutional loopholes”.
The course was deeply enriched by the diverse attendance of undergraduate and postgraduate students from various departments and fields, including law, economics, media, political science and others.
